The clustering RAID systems have two(optional 4)host channels and REDUNDANT ACTIVE/ACTIVE failover or faiback raid controllers.  These systems are made for 100% uptime, when 99.99% will not do. 
You simply hook it up to two UNIX OR NT Enterprise servers using a standard SCSI card.  The system just thinks it is a very large hard disk.  RAID functions are controlled by a serial port from a computer.
